MK19 Machine Gun

The Mk19 Machine gun is a belt-fed, advanced primer (does not fully set the round in the chamber when fires), ignition blowback operated, air-cooled, crew-served and fully automatic heavy machine gun. 

Ranges:

  • Max Range: 2212m
  • Max Range (area): 2212m
  • Max Range (point): 1500m 

Rates of Fire:

  • Sustained: 40 rds/min, 3 - 5 rd bursts, 4 -5 sec pause
  • Rapid: 60 rds/min, 3 - 5 bursts, 2 - 3 sec pause
  • Cyclic: 325 - 375 rds/min, continuous burst

Condition Codes:

  • Condition 4: Bolt forward, chamber empty, no rds in feeder, cover closed, wpn on “Fire”
  • Condition 3: Bolt forward, chamber empty, rds in feeder, 1st rd against primary position paw, cover close, wpn is on “Fire”
  • Condition 2: Bolt forward, chamber empty, rds in feeder, 1st rd engaged by round positioning block grasped by the extractors, cover closed, wpn on “Fire
  • ANNOUNCE HALF LOAD
  • Condition 1: Bolt locked to the rear, round on face of bolt, rds in feeder, cover closed, wpn on “Safe
  • ANNOUNCE FULL LOAD

Immediate Action

  • Announce “Misfire”x3
  • Wait 10 seconds for a Hangfire
  • Pull bolt to the rear (Have A-gunner catch round)
  • If it feeds and ejects, continue and fire
  • If it does not continue to fire or 2nd consecutive misfire, go into PA
    • Place Weapon Safe
    • Assume there is a live round in the chamber
  • Unload and Show Clear
  • Conduct CCLI
    • Clear
    • Clean
    • Lubricate
    • Inspect
